Surprises all the way

Hi guys
Sorry for coming late yet again. This time also, the same reason . Searching job(s)....

Finally after a heavy showtime of summer season, the monsoon has finally settled in India. Some of the parts have experienced floods and some are yet to get that experience. Monsoon always gives a surprise to everyone all over the world.

I also got the best surprise of my life recently. I had got ATKT in my 1st semester of my DCA and had given exam for my 2nd semester also. Though I had worked hard this time, I was sure that I would get atleast 1 ATKT in one subject.
The result was yet to come and it got 3 months for the results to come out.
0ne fine evening, I got a sms from a friend that the results had came out , so I went to college to check out my results of both semesters with full belief that I would get hitched once again. I was the only one to reach there first.

I first checked out my 1st semester results and voila!! I got passed right by the dot marks needed to pass. Then i gathered courage and checked out my 2nd semester results and to my most shocked surprising happiness, I had cleared my 2nd semesters also with flying colors. I didn't know what to do or whether I was seeing a dream , so I asked a faculty passing by, if what I was seeing was correct, and she confirmed it.

We have seen students having tears in their eyes because of their bad results but here I was, feeling some drops forming in his eyes for the first time because he had passed in all subjects. So accustomed I had became to getting ATKT results that This shock was hard to digest but finally I did it.Of course this results were the hard work of me only , having toiled hard for 3 nights without sleeping for each subject, but you can never expect any good news from our college.

see ya soon

The question of The D day in everyone's life.

Hey guys
Sorry for not coming the whole month as I was very busy after exams and exams and exams.. the list can go on. and on.
Come April and the time of exams stars . And also the time to make everyone APRIL FOOL.

I did manage to make some of my friends the APRIL FOOL by playing a small traditional prank .
Half marriage. yes! engagement. They did get fooled of course but some are smart and did not get fooled.
But that make me thought for a while about this whole marriage thing.

Everyone , almost everyone, manages to marry or say, marries in his/her lifetime. Some do not marry and choose to live a more satisfied life their way. Some marry their sweetheart from school/college/workplace, some marry in traditional arranged marriage way and some as per the new marriage style.. same gender.hahaha
Forget about the last sentence. That was just a joke. So how easily we get grown up and then have our own thoughts and ideas for this 'marriage ' thing. My own brother had a rather dramatic marriage , the first in the family by doing 'love Marriage'. We will go into it sometime later.

It set me thinking one fine day in April this year , if I would choose to marry or not or rather I should marry or not when proposals started coming for my brother Abhijit's marriage based in wipro in Bangalore. We have always been on joking mode between us brothers on the topic of marriage . Even it got me into double thinking of how we grow up so soon , when just a year before, my family started topic of marriage and groom searching for my cousin sister. How we were just kids or teenagers and we or rather I would terrorize my sister by playing different pranks and would try to make her cry so often and how we have grown up now that she is big enough to carry herself for marriage and would go away in a year or so .

My brother does not want to marry , he says so, this soon . He earlier said , he would think of marriage after 4 years., then slowly over time, he came down to just 2 years, now don't know whether he would still lower another year or so .His ambitions and ideas of course. But the question remains? should one marry because he/she has just came of age or should marry when he/she  is internally ready?

So when should one marry to decide to marry? When he is financially independent , secure in everything , of age? Or as per the society norms? the question remains unanswered every time because of different views.
How should one choose a life partner? Does one's responsibility end or begin after marriage? Rather I think it does begin.
As per my belief, one should choose his/her life partner such, that the partners should carry each other or say, compliment each others life . They should help each other over reaching their goals , whether they are financial, spiritual, or other life goals. After 40 years , one should not think that he/she had made a mistake by marriage.

Personally speaking, I dont plan to marry at all and even if i plan to do so , i will marry a person who can take me ahead in my life goals and also help me and I can also be of help to her somewhat. I dont understand how people do manage to fall in love. What chemical reactions happen when a person falls in love? ha! some other time again for this discussion.

Well , I had many thoughts but I am not here to write about the institution of marriage, just came here to share my thoughts . Marriage if not done they say is bad and if done is also bad after some time. so what to do?
experience the laddoo or not to eat the laddoo and be happy in seeing others married lives?

Driving to life for death?

Hey guys...
Happy belated holi for starting and gudi padva for today for my maharastrian friends .
India is a land of festivals for sure and a land of unpredictability.Nothing happens for days and when It happens , they happen in numbers. Whether it is scandals , accidents , business etc etc..
I was reminded of an accident that occurred in my city in front of my eyes and so was tempted to write it down here. Accidents like I said, do happen anywhere , all of sudden, anytime, at any place.
I myself have had number of accidents but have came out of it strongly with minor injuries by god's grace. But the one I witnessed few days ago , I can not say whether the person came out or went up in accident, but I can guess that , there was no report of it in next day's newspaper , the person must have survived and have been  well.

I was passing through one of the busiest route of Baroda called jail road on my way to college few days back. One guy in his 20's was crossing the road in his 'Masti'. He was oblivious or unmindful of the surroundings or traffic around him and was walking like the guy in the mobile advertisement does smsing on his mobile and getting hit by car at end.
At the same time, a guy from the opposite side also in his early 20's came at full speed on his pulsar bike enjoying the cool speed and trying to be a john abraham. He came so fast that he could hardly control his speed nor could have time to apply for brakes and rammed into the guy crossing the road.
Both fell down and broke their crown and bike came tumbling after.{ on them actually} Enough crowd gathered there creating commotion

The guy on the bike hit the footpath and immediately  went unconscious, the guy walking had minor bruises only. I immediately went there and saw that the bike guy had blood coming from his nose which I know from somewhere is bad  and was not moving at all. I called the 108 ambulance service and they came in less then 3 mins at the scene and took the boy away. I just had to pray to god that he would not pass from this world and went on my way , a little late in time.

But that made me think again, why do these guys try to prove that they are 'someone' and risk their lives as well as other's lives as well. Just because they have a speed machine , they think that they are rulers of the road. And why do people not see properly while crossing the road , thinking that it is the duty of the other person to mind the rule not his?
2 stupid idiots fool

see ya guys... will come soon with another interesting topic or story.

making an impact?

What do you do when you are visited by someone to inspect you or your firm or institution ? What do you do to impress them that they give you some stars and grants?
You try every rule in the book to impress them and earn accolades.

Thats what one of ex-famous or once upon a time famous now in-famous institution of learning did this month.... yes, am talking about the M.S.University of Baroda which was once famous for learning and now also it is famous but for all the wrong reasons.

The university was visited by a "Naac Team" which is supposed to give accreditation or grants to colleges and asses the performance last week.

And as usual before the team came... the college which in regular days was a dustbin literally or in garbage condition was spotlessly clean and the pale buildings were painted and all the dust cleaned to give a good impression. Even the classrooms which were  literally like store rooms were so clean that the students could hardly believe their eyes that this is the university they are studying in.Overnight the parking facilities came in place where earlier the students could park their vehicles wherever they could please to.

And now comes the fun part. It is reported that the team though impressed by the outer cleanliness was not impressed with the inner 'person' of the college . In the presentation given by the vice chancellor , he gave importance on its history and how it was made on which the team was irritated and asked him straight on what was the achievements of past 4 years and what would be the future agenda or plans of the university. You just can not go on with your past always. The team which was just to visit 2 faculties then formed a team and decided to visit other faculties as well.

The way mockery was made by the team on the university , if it continues in future, I am sure that the day is not too far when the college would be deprived of grants and other basic amenities.

see ya guys...

Hey guys,
Back again...
Have you ever encountered a co- incidence or something like that in your life? We all have some or the other time at some places . There are endless cases of them.

The co- incidence i am thinking about right now is the earthquake that happened in Haiti recently this month. Is it a co incidence ?

You must be thinking of why I am giving it this name. We all must have in memory of our minds the earthquake of Gujarat , specially in saurasthra region. It happened exactly 10 years before on republic day in January. I can remember it very well because I was in 10th std at that time and I was enjoying the wonderful holiday sleeping in bed when my bed began shaking violently.I thought it was my mom trying to shake me out of my bed and sleep , so when I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see no one near me. Wow! For the first time I had experienced earthquake. All ran out of the house only to return 5 mins back safely . God had spared Baroda. But  it was January month at year 2000 .

And this haiti quake happened in Jan 2010 . Exactly 10 years after. Is this co incidence or nature trying to warn us or tell us something. This Haiti earthquake has not even spared the presidential palace there. Nature when furious spares no one.  god's or nature's sense of humour is going sick day by day. Playing practical jokes on people who are backward compared to other world and that too in a place of Haiti. sick humor...

bye guys.... see you sometime soon.

Mumbai visit part 2

HI Friends
A very very happy new year to you and wish you a great year ahead...
Its been almost 15 days to be exact that I last wrote about mumbai visit part 1 . But what to do, I had to make another visit to mumbai after that ,so , I thought I would sum up the visit in my next blog here.

So last time, I explained that , i would tell something about the people there. common people to be exact.Contrary to the popular belief , people there mind their own business and do not interfere in other's matters  or affairs, but if someone asks them for a small help, they do oblige. That's my own personal experience. I had many times asked strangers at the railway stations if a particular local train would take me to my desired location just to be sure that I am not late and end up reaching somewhere, and they have readily obliged by giving me the right direction. The people there are also somewhat miser,  when they have to shell out money change, specially the shop owners in and around the railway stations. Even if they have piles of coins lying around them, they say they dont have change when one wants a mere 5 ruppee change for phone calls .And i thought that only Ahmadabad guys are misers.

The tourist places literally loot the people of their money also thinking that all people who come there are rich and would have thousands of bucks in their pockets.
After my exam ended at 12 pm, i went straight to marine drive which was just a half kilometers from the exam center. Having spent around 45 minutes there, I went again to the Gateway of India to pass time as I had nothing to do the whole day and had to catch my train back at midnight only.
Last time i had visited my cousin , due to lack of time, we could not go to Eliphanta Caves situated at backside of the Gateway of India. So I saw myself suddenly taking the ticket and sitting on the ferry boat with other passengers on my way to Eliphanta Caves. It took us around half hour to reach the destination. It was such a joy to be among deep sea water around you once again after many many years.

But regretfully, we have also made the sea dirty as hell. uptil 5 km atleast, you can see the dirt and other pollutants sailing along the sea. It makes you think, that on one hand, we complain about the pollution and ways to control it, and on other hand, we ourselves do this to our natural habitats and environment. I wish I could show you uptil what extent the sea was polluted , but I did not click pictures of the dirty water there. the ferry amusingly charges 10 Rupees extra for going to the upper deck to have a full view in addition to 120 Bucks charged for transportation. Thats what i was talking about looting people.

So , we reached the destination in around half hour or so. The place can be called as an island itself. What a beautiful place! From the deck to the staircase, there is a toy train which takes people there in case they dont choose to walk all the way. from staircase, you have to walk up around half a kilometer up with small shops lined up on both sides selling sea articles and other related things. They take entry fee as usual to get in the caves area.

The Eliphanta Caves are around thousands of years old dating back to year 450 and 750 AD when the island was known as Gharapuri (Place of Caves). The Portuguese renamed the island Elephanta because of a large stone elephant near the shore. The statue collapsed in 1814 and the British then moved it to the mainland.
There are around 10 caves there with spectacular ,extraordinary , marvelous statues which the modern architects can hardly think to make still standing today. Although , some of them are damaged owning to time and lack of proper care but they are excellent to watch. Mainly the statues consist of Shiva and Parvati and Buddha statues . Statue of Natraja and others are treat to watch with one statue of Buddha meditating.
Like I said, the modern architects lack the vision and strength to make these type of structures. If at all they make, I doubt , how many years these structures can stand tall after 30 years.
The people who made these things or statues to say must have been great architects, visionaries, and greatly talented to say the least about them. I was left wondering on how can such great things be made completely out of solid rocks and given the proper turn in case of women statues.
There is around a 20 feet idol of lord shiva with 3 heads. Wow! With proper face and jewels worth of  Shivji. Once again., dont have proper words to express what i saw.
Here are some pics of what i am talking about:

Now , I will show you the big shivling and the 20 feet statue i was talking about of lord Shiva.

After seeing this wonderful structures, I went for a short trekking up on the hills where there is a land owned by Indian Navy and where there are 2 big cannons kept for display. I soon reached to the top of the island where I could see the whole Mumbai ahead with the sea in front of me and also the whole area around me. I could say for that moment that I was on the top of Mumbai or world.
Lets see some of the pics of which i am talking about here.

This is the place from where I entered the island and from where we have to walk to half a km before climbing the stairs up. imagine how much I would have walked to see this in front of me.fabulous right

I had estimated that I would come down around 2-3 hours when i went there from Gateway of India and join my friend for a movie, but it took me around 5 hours to come down and half hour extra to reach back and join my other friend for dinner.  To say the least again of Mumbai railway station, one station I liked most is the Churchgate station..
I would request you all to go to this place once in a lifetime and enjoy the beautiful structures of those people back then. and yes, whenever you go out in the sea or any other natural environement, please dont pollute it.these all places are our places and we need to preserve it.atleast for future generations.

Bye Bye for now..
