Our life is a type of a ship which navigates in silent, stormy,semi-stormy waters of life, through each day, or even through each passing second.
with this blog, I will present to you, some of the real things the ship has to learn and some of humorous moments the ship has to undergo. I promise it would be fun.
Books as they say can be your best friend or your supreme enemy. In my case, its the former.
In 2021, I tried to read as less books as possible owning to other responsibilities but I did manage to read at least about 53 of them.
No, I will not list all of them here as that would becomeeeeee a reallyyyyyyyy long post. Instead I will share with you my Goodreads page where you can go through all of my 2021 books.
What I will do here is try to list out those that I feel were worth sharing and then subsequently get into a brief detail of them in my upcoming posts, if I manage to.

1. 0 to 1660 Crores : Incredible Investment Lessons from Raamdeo Agrawal byABHISH B.
I recommend this book for everyone who’s interested in investing in stable and valued companies to reap the benefits for long term. A short read so you won’t get distracted or bored.
2. Divine Discourses: The Wisdom of Pramukh Swami Maharaj: A Masterpiece by Pramukh Swami Maharaj
If you are of a spiritual bend of mind, this book is for you. The divine spiritual wisdom of Saint Pramukh Swami Maharaj of the Swaminarayan Sect can’t not be missed. Wisdom and discourse for the practical everyday life!
Are you someone who’s interested in delving into the mysterious world? Do you always wonder about the What, why and who of the infamous Spiritual Aghori world that is always a topic of hush hush discussion? Then this book is for you. Full of knowledge, wisdom and written in a captivating manner that will surely keep you stuck to the book.
Some cops are good, some cops are better and some cops are outright superb! Sir KPS Gill was one of the super cops of India who always spoke his mind, was a true leader, leading from the front and by example. Prevented many a riots, stopped crime in his area and managed to redeem some criminals. I was a child when I read about him in the newspaper and was always in awe of him.
5. Choosing Light: When an Earthquake Buried Me and My Family for 5 Days, I Learned to Fully Live: By Viral Dalal
If you are a Gujarati or have been in Gujarat for a very long time, you will surely remember the infamous Gujarat Earthquake on 26th January 2001. Thousands of people in the Saurashtra part of Gujarat lost their lives in one snap. There were another thousands who came out alive only to find that everything in their life was gone forever. In a second!
This story is of Viral Dalal, who lost everything — Home, Family, Identity, yet managed to come of out this turmoil strong. How? I will try to put down it down in brief in my next post. But read the book for sure. It’s captivating and emotional.
6. Book of Women: By Osho
Now, there would be very few who wouldn’t know Osho
or Rajnessh. He is believed to be an all-knowing philosopher who had tried to
understand Women. Yes! So, read this book to know more about this scarce
knowledge.
A Line that I happened to note from the the book:
“A psychiatrist is a fellow who asks you a lot of
expensive questions that your wife asks you for nothing”
7. University of Berkshire Hathaway: 30 Years of Lessons Learned from Warren Buffett & Charlie Munger at the Annual Shareholders Meeting: Authors: Daniel Pecaut & Corey Wrenn
There
is literally no educated man who doesn’t know Warren Buffet — The Oracle of
Omaha! One of the richest dudes in the world through his exceptional wisdom and
skill of investing in the correct companies.
He holds annual shareholder meetings on
his famous Berkshire Hathway workings, acquisitions, mergers, etc. where he
shares his investing wisdom, secrets and answers selected questions.
For someone who started investing from the
age of 11 to becoming one of the wealthiest man alive, it’s always a treat to
watch or at least read his thoughts on the financial world.
